In 1997 on Sunday 19th October I went to see Steeleye Span at the Roses Theatre, Tewkesbury. This was a great but sad night as it was (a) the last night of the tour, and (b) MADDY PRIORS last performance with them after twenty-eight years with the band. This probably goes down as my favourite concert this year as it was so clear and you could hear every thing that was said.
The songs performed included ALL AROUND MY HAT, GAUDETTE, and tracks from the then latest album called TIME.

As a result of the concert I am now going to collect more Steeleye Span CD's.
